  • London Underground 1938-Tube Stock enamel CAB DESTINATION PLATE for Alexandra Palace / Moorgate on the Northern Line. Double-sided with brass ends.
     
    The Alexandra Palace branch of the Northern City Line was planned under the 1930s 'Northern Heights' programme. This plate is very rare as after the War, the planned extension did not proceed and Tube trains never ran to the Palace.
     
    Dimensions: 62cm x 10cm (24.5" x 4")
    WEIGHT: 0.96kg
    Material: Thick enamelled steel + Brass
     
    Condition: Very good condition. Sign shows age of use with chips of enamel, there is also rust where the enamel is missing.
